Family Housing Association (Birkenhead & Wirral) Ltd

Family Housing Association (Birkenhead & Wirral) was formed in 1968.  We provide homes, at low rents,  for people in housing need.  We own 368 properties in the North West of England, on the Wirral Peninsula, including some in Birkenhead, Oxton, Wallasey, Port Sunlight and Bromborough.

The Association owns 224 homes in Birkenhead, 72 in Wallasey, 64 in Port Sunlight and 8 in Bromborough.  They consist of 212 houses and 156 flats.  In terms of size, 138 of our homes have one bedroom, 93 have two bedrooms, 125 have three bedrooms and 12 have four or more bedrooms.

We have just completed a 5 year improvement programme costing over £2.7 million pounds that ensures all of our housing stock meets the Decent Homes Standard.  We are a Registered Provider, regulated by the Tenant Services Authority (L1236).

LATEST NEWS:

07/02/2012 We have recently sent out questionnaires to many residents to confirm details of their household.  This questionnaire is important as we will use the information to assess whether our tenants will be affected by the proposed changes to Housing Benefit.  If you have received a questionnaire, please complete and return it as soon as possible.
28/11/2011 We have recently become a member of House Exchange.  This is a not for profit organisation that helps tenants of Housing Associations and Council Housing find a home swap.  Family Housing tenants can register for free and can search for a home swap locally or nationally.  To register on line click here.
